Landscaping add value to Property.
When considering a home purchase, do you ever consider the landscaping? Outdoors' can add big value to the purchase or deduct value depending on the lack of features. Consider many sub-divisions today, where homes are built close together. Many homes in our Charlotte area are built on concrete slabs, where soil is built-up prepared and compacted for the slab. Heavy downpours can cause soil erosions on the sides of the homes and provide poor conditions for grass seeding or other plantings. Sod can be an easy solution, but many builders only provide sod for front lawns and leave the sides for seeding, which sometimes do not do well if poor solid conditions exist.
Today’s' outdoor landscaping can become and extension of your living space, considering waterfalls, open air living spaces outside kitchens and contoured areas to compliment the house. It is not just swimming pools any longer.
Mostly a homebuyer focuses on the home and homes' indoor condition, but care should be taken on the landscaping too. Land contours dictate the drainage or lack off and this often can become a problem for the condition of a foundation of the house and a future homeowner may have to shell out money to correct, which can be costly. Trees can also become a concern, depending on the location maturing trees who's canopy extend over the roof should be free of dead branches and inspected for other rot problems that can endanger the house or occupants. Has anyone priced the removal of a large tree lately?
If you are a buyer, consider the outdoors too.
