Community Information

Wesley Chapel is more vibrant than ever!

The Wesley Chapel community has been in existence before, the early eighteen hundreds. Central to the area over the years has been The Wesley Chapel Methodist Church and the Wesley Chapel School. Both of these continue in existence today. The Wesley Chapel Church (named for John Wesley) had its beginnings about 1832, the new church being constructed shortly thereafter. On April 7, 1878, this building was destroyed by fire and a new structure was completed in May of 1879 and remained in use until 1924 at which time the present structure was constructed.

The community just a decade ago consisted of a couple of cross-roads and is now flourishing into a desirable area to live. Many new sub-divisons are either part of the community or adjacent to Wesley Chapel, with it's rural setting and only a short 15 minute drive to Charlotte shopping.  Great new homes starting from the 300's with beautiful landscaped area's and ammenities.

Community Information for Indian Trail!

Indian Trail is a town with a rich heritage. Most people know Indian Trail for the trading route which was established in the seventeenth century. This path ran between Petersburg, Va. to the Waxhaw Indian settlement; thus, the name "Indian Trail." Prior to permanent white settlement, the region was primarily the province of the Waxhaws.  Due to its geographic location settlers came to the area from three sources....Highland Scots of the Sandhills region, German settlers who came down from the Catawba Valley, and others who traveled water routes from South Carolina.   Land grants were issued to newcomers in 1752 and continued for another quarter century.
